No signal- 27"-monitor after cables were removed

a friend has the problem of "no signal" when all cables were removed and reattached.
which button must be pressed or what procedures must be done. its an asus, dont know which one, person is bad eye-sighted....and far away.
we had the same problem when i first installed the pc. monitor-cable correctly connected.

    Hardware-reset? Cmos?

    is a hardware/cmos-reset needed? clear-cmos

it seems jumper must be set on asus z87c. which cannot be done by someone with bad eyesight. on the old dx6100 we have a button with light.
    seems solved.

internal video-connector possibly used. but external videocard is programmed.
so we could have the problem that after reset internal video-card will be set.... so must do it myself.

I would remove battery, remove video card , hook up to onboard, install battery and boot up.
Now might want to get into BIOS and check the video settings if any. May have lost the disabled onboard setting and with both trying to work . . . Fact is i would hook up to the onbard and see if it is working now.

Good i made a photoshoot of the panel before cables were removed. crazy to remove cables without at least taking notes. no videocable on internal slot. so no signal when attached there since in cmos external is set. external one must be further down.

Plugging and unpluggine a few times tends to clean the contacts. Which helps.
