Memory management-problems on winxp-pc(new process-new MOBO)
I have two gigabyte alive-dual esata2-MOBOs. its a dualcore. both were succesfully working(if i dont err...). i know i already had switched them with the slower AMD-processor on them. ok temperature was a bit high. about 10degr. C higher than now.
When i have got a 955 with huge cooler i switched to my second MOBO and used the old HDDs. no new installation.
yes drivers had to be installed automactically or by using winxp-cd.
afte a short period of time and again and again, not often. i see bluescreens on two positions. first when bypassing the win-logon. it does no matter if i am waiting or not. it could be after several minutes or immediately after seeing the accounts and going in. it happened also when i did not wait the system to be loaded when seeing desktop rigtht after clicking the browser(firefox).
then a loop(restart) will take place automatically.
2x 2gb-ddr2 are clean and quite new.
i could switch back to my first MOBO to verify that mistake. but i could also switch to my other backup-systempartitons on other HDDs to check tha problem which never happened with my slow processor. most probabyl my system will be even quicker when switching to quicker videocard. from geforce 210 to gt 630. Thanks

I am surprised it even boots as the hal.dll is not set up correctly, listing the correct drivers, when you switch motherboards like that. Unless the motherboards are identical, normally you would not be able to boot up with out a repair install.

I am now on my old 500gb-hdd-winxp. 1. no drivers asked 2. no memory management problems until now.
the problem is on the older 2tb-drive which still has that overlapping problem. new drive/installation would be appropriate, right? maybe better waiting for my new 240gb ssd for win7-32. can be updated later to 64-bit when 8gb-ram is installed right?
regarding the old 2tb-systems, i must check what i still have. maybe there is a drive with systempartition only which i could check for the memory management problem.
i have a second 2tb-drive, but the original cannot boot anymore. made big mistakes when trying to repair(overlapping-problem) before asking experts at testdisk-forum. worked on the original, not on the copy. most probably i will get a new 2tb-drive as a clone-receiver instead of dbanning(dban) the one which still has unaccesssible data). i cannot clone to that one. impossible.

win7-32 = max ram of 4 GB and that limit is in 32 bit version.
The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system
That 32-bit editions of Windows starting with Windows Vista are limited to 4GB is not because of any technical constraint on 32-bit operating systems. The 32-bit editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 all contain code for using physical memory above 4GB. Microsoft just doesn’t license you to use that code.

Now, as you want to use lots and lots of ram get Win 7 64bit.

Digging trough the security jungle of the ms-update-catalogue-winxp
here
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/...iewBasket.aspx
i searched for ms08-061 and got
954211 as seen elsewhere
The a list of 13 updates with title
954211 replaced by .... these 13
further down a second window which is misleading(pls help):
this update is replacing the following ones(or one)
but which one is replacing the following one.
this one KB941693 is replaced by what?
and where to get these updates.
will now check if they are listed in software. have my doubts.
and there are the instructions to get rid if the haxdoor virus if it is really it.at least i can check and execute if there.
have also seen sp3-could or should be reinstalled.
and other hint is telling to remove 954211 altogether. very confusive.
its time to format and reinstall winxp and switch to win7 on an 256 SSD.
