    Defraggler.-No auto-shutdown?

Does auto-shutdown not work when empty space is defragged and one has set to do that? it is asking to do when empty space is defragged. working only for normal data-defrag? maybe at least shutting down program is working.

Never worried about defragler, just remember there are a few things it is designed not to touch.
    Defrag, offline defrag, defrag again.
But do not be surprised if a download, let us say a program and stored on the hdd, does not work atfer a while.

    SSD harddrives you NEVER defrag!

    Defraggler -pls correct the word

after doing some cleanings and removing all systemrecovery-points except the last one.
    1. first i am removing pagefile.
    2. then i do a defrag at start-time-is this the right moment?
    3. defrag empty space allowing defrag(why the other version, not allowing?)
    4. defrag. so offlinedefrag after defrag?
when not zeroed i would repeat defrag.
    was succesful with these steps.

A waste of time, most of us figure, as there is nothing there.

Other than that it looks fine.

But remember defrag has been known to now and then to flip a byte and that can cause you to lose data.

under 5% , I would not worry about it. 10%, yes then I would do a manual defrag. With Win 7, I just let the built in defrag d its thing and do not mess with it all. Spot check once in a while to make sure it is doing its thing is all i have done.

Vista, I have to defrag using the 5% rule I made up.

    Its about winxp-defrag sata-hdd and win7-ssd.
    actually winxp asked.
ok if seperate defragging empty space is not needed but removing pagefile is. otherwise it could stay splitted. last time i could only change from 4 to 3 parts.
    better trying exclusive pagefile -sata-drive.

If the pagefile on volume C: has an initial size of less than 126 megabytes, then the system may not be able to create a debugging information file if a STOP error occurs.

Tried your method on 500gb drive with 15gb left. but i could no perfectly defrag(program says its perfect) some data comes in he way of pagefile. is divided in very small an large part despite using all methods. and: i could not defrag without defragging the files explicitely which was not needed on a larger HDD. pagefile left alone. yes only last systemrecovery point left.
