Lost connection and can't get it back

    Hello all

I have an old desktop running XP32. I purchased an edimax nano wireless network adapter and have been using it for about 4 weeks without problems.

I removed it and reinserted it to organize everything behind the desktop and now it can't connect to the Internet.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, restarting, using different usb ports, reset modem/router, and nothing works.

When i open the software to connect, it doesn't detect any wireless networks. I'm also unable to use the windows wzc to connect. I contacted the edimax manufacturer and they sent me an email basically telling me to uninstall and reinstall but ive already tried it.

What can i do? Is there something I'm missing?

I also tried shutting off the firewall, disable/enable the adapter.

Also forgot to mention I went to services to try to enable wzc. I was able to turn wired auto config to automatic but wlan auto config wasn't listed.

What do you mean 'No'? You aren't using Black Viper's settings?

When you said you uninstalled, do you reinstall the drivers and wifi client software? If so, uninstall the wifi client software and then try to enable WZC.

No I'm not using black vipers settings.

I uninstalled the software and it still isn't showing up.

So you uninstalled the wifi client software only, right? You should still be able to see the adapter in Device Manager.

Can you enable the WZC service now?
