    Android recover deleted files

How can I undelete photos from a nexus 7. Recuva doesn't see the device as a drive to scan. My other search found a windows application that upon download mcafee claimed it was infected so I stopped the download.

    Thanks

Shout out to the old schoolers its been a while since I dropped in.

Is there an option for a non rooted nexus?

Immediately stop taking new data with your Android phone, because the more you write data, the less likely you’ll be able to retrieve the lost data.

Actually, your files are stored on the memory card of your Android phone. And there are some memory card recovery software available to undelete data from memory card. You may try Android Data Recovery! I used it and it worked!

If by "memory card" you mean microSD, the Nexus 7 does not include such an option.

The deleted photos must be in phone memory of nexus 7, so Recuva can't recover them.
First you need root your device, also some recovery programs can help you root the device.
