How do i know that Adwcleaner has finished? When i can see a log-file?
See what happens-again with firefox(multiple tabs of FF-addons plus 2x FF and not my startsite(replaced with FF-site) after running adwcleaner an deleting browser-setting or what has been found. dont know where to find the log. but i could see preferences also had been cleaned.
last time the same or similar problem also occured right after using jrt but after restart they were gone.... wierd.
one time that happend during surfing. a second instance of FF opened with multiple tabs and start-site changed to mozilla.
cannot attach the image/screenshot." pls select a file" after hitting the upload. is there a check left from it?
i only see the upload-button on right side. left side no more space to show such a checkbox.
very strange i see it now after saving the message....
i run it, have it cleanup, it reboots the computer, then notepad opens.

Wierd that i can open the log before scan has finished. Camp-firefox think winxp is outdated, the reason for the multiple tabs. Maybe a bug in FF. I remember earlier i did a new FF-installation which did not really help. Also not deleting profile.
Adwcleaner is clearly the cause of multiple tabs being opened in firefox incl. 2x firefox itself. google-start-site removed and download-folder default now.
have now deactivated respective addons. we will see next time. no solution found.
i dont see an option to deny the cleaning of firefox. its eighter cleaning or not cleaning at all. And its a big mess that this program does not indicate when finished.
I will wait until FF32 next week and oberver the situaiton. autocopy(on of the tabs which are autostarting) is now removed. Deactivating those does not help, removing them yes. But two instances of mozilla are still autostarting.
Adwcleaner seems to generate too much false positives. A lot of my browser-files. from FF to Tor. The same like Stinger.

highlighting them and removing all of them or deinstallation?
There are no checkboxes.

Or uninstall it. Or, try contacting adwcleaner Tech Support / Forums.

In about:config right-click one and select Modify. (Most, if not all, cannot be deleted).
Background of my detailed questions here is the problem with multiple addons plus Firefox-site-tabs which will be opened when deleting what adwcleaner has found. see my other thread. JRT did probably do the same thing. maybe this had been changed with FF32. That is what i want to find out.
i can highlight one finding not all at the same time but i dont understand its function yet. will all three preferences deleted? i will now wait a bit longer.
