"This application needs administrators rights...." at start of restricted account.
Only if my main account is restricted(which it is default) i can see this window popping up: "This application needs administrators rights......" But which program? winxp
Did setup some programs lately.
-
R-click the exe and select run as admin when that happens. Usually that happened during the install of a program.
-
As i asked: which exe? no application shown. only this popup. nothing in startup. where do i have to check? btw malwarebytes stopped/crashed after multiple hours maybe because i didnt close the oterh restricted account. never had open two accounts during scans before.

SOLVED- windows messenger 5.1(winxp)
It was windows messenger 5.1 for winxp which should have had to be repaired.
i could not repair or did not find the messenger.msi on winxp-cd.
no official deinstallation was possible in revo.
1. i had to remove this part of en entry in an inf-file: hide
2. then i scanned and remove all remains found in revo.
-
-
I gave admin-rights to the restricted account and let the then unknown program to be installed. and SCHWUPS it was seen in revo.
uninstall was not possible only repair. so i did a scan and removed what was found. BINGO!
-
UNSOLVED
Not popping up in administrator account but every time when opening restricted one.
Did all scans with tfc, msse, malwarebytes, Adwcleaner, JRT
Defragged pagefile, deleted at startup, removed pagefile(s)
defraggler used, spybot.
NOTHING HELPED
maybe removing all the programs which are in startline of revo?
win-update?

SOLVED-Speccy was it!
By closing some tasks i could see the warning closing with speccy.....Relieved.
-
Speccy does not need to start automatically.
-
But i wanted it displayed in taskbar for permanent warning.
Maybe i will try again MBmonitor. But speedfan is tempting, one could upload and exchange settings. Very clever program.
In a seperate thread i explained troubles setting the same for speedfan. And i still dont know how to do for my restricted account.
-
-
Wrong. It was not speccy but speedfan which wanted administrators right.
here were the problems:
1. showing tow temperatures in taskbar in restricted account.
a) cpu
b) gpu/video
Speccy showed it always
But speedfan only when manually activated.
Solution: removing speedfan with revo and cleaning with regvac.
installation in restricted account with administrators right given. right-clicking and give admin-rights ad-hoc did not work.
swet back restricted right. BINGO.
I can finally defraggle and backup the system.
The only uncertanity: can i backup with acronis true image into secure space and esata-drive simultanously? And can i see and inspect data in secure space? hope thats the right term.
-
It really was Speccy which needed admin.-rights. Systemexplorer showed it.
I wonder how long it will take until speedfan-temperature will disappear in taskmanager. speccy has no such problems.
-
Speedfan is gone again in taskbar, no so speccy which is staying. speedfan is set to minimum. speccy has a special setting for win-startup.
What do i have to uncheck in ccleaner? deep scans are set there.
