Smile Adding a WAP4410n to existing wireless network

I'm trying to setup a Cisco WAP4410n as a wireless repeater on an existing wireless network that is currently using a WRVS4400n router. The need is to expand the range of the router to a remote area on my property and increase connectivity. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to get this setup working, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, Train, but apparently I'm too confused and unfamiliar with this process to make this work. Is there some way to get more detailed help as in "networking for dummies"?? I was just hoping to make my wireless connection a little stronger in this remote area, which by the way is not that far from my router, @150'.

Does your router have a external antenna?

150 ft through walls and the like is a real long ways.

What I use to extend my laptops distance and a desktop in a trailer park.

Metal in walls, lead paint on the walls, brick walls, etc can really cut distance right down to xero.

My frustration level peaked with the unsuccessful setup of the repeater, SO, I gave the Engenius N150 USB adapter a try. This device is awesome, installed and have a full signal with no issue, thanks for the advice!!!

And you can change to a higher dB antenna for more range. Yes, your 5dB antenna can be upgrades to a 9dB one.

Glad you like it, use the heck out of mine while traveling. Motels have weak signals most times.
