    Word content migration>>>>>>>>

Hello again. Been off line for a long, long time (previously docusk, senior member) but pretty well recovered health wise.
Missed you all. Thanks to our NHS (Yes I was a part of it for 40 years or so)

Working in Word, after typing most of,say, a potentially long letter or report, almost all of the text just disappears and I can't find it.

I'm not a touch typist and it is a wretched nuisance as I have to go right back to the beginning and start over.
I know it's me but WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
    Experts please help,

    docuskxtra

For starters - start clicking the save option more often... I do it all the time in fear of exactly what you're describing.

One thing that comes to mind - "if" while typing you Highlight all of the text- hitting Any key on your keyboard would wipe out everything that was highlighted.

Get into the habit of pressing [Ctrl][S], frequently. (In Word, Excel, Publisher, Visio, Notepad, whatever ...).
