Thread: Corsair H80i not cooling well.

    Corsair H80i not cooling well.

    idle its at 38c and when i play titan fall it goes to 50c i know these temps are ok but they should be around 27c idle and 35-40c under load. im new to pc building so im not sure whats wrong. both fans are blowing the same way. i also just bought arctic silver 5 to see if cleaning and Applying will fix. any tips or ideas?



    system:

    cpu: 3770k at 3.5 ghz wanted to get it to 4.2 but cant with the temp.
    gpu: gtx 680
    mobo: asus P8Z77
    ram: 16 GB Gskill sniper 1866
    case: TT|CHASER MK-

    What is the room temp?

    Is the radiator in the case?

    its in the case and its usually 70f in the room

    And do have case fans to get the heated air out of the case.

    Do you know the make and model of the case?

    Check the specs on this case.

    yes i have fans and the case is listed. i reapplied thermal compound. same temps tho

    I do not think, unless you up the fan RPMs and max out the case fan numbers, you will get any lower.
