adding memory to hp pavilion p7 1267c
HP Pavilion P7 1267c w/8GB (4GB x 2) ram, needs more memory for visually disabled user (not me) to use voice software to read email, screen, attachments, etc. (I have the same computer, so I can assist her. I would also like to add memory, but it is not crucial (!) for me.)I have looked at HP site, which is confusing, telling me that Windows 7 Home Premium supports 16 GB memory, and tells me how to add/change (I have done this before, that's no problems.) However, Crucial website says 8GB DIMM x 2 is not compatible with this computer. I will next look inside the computer to see how many slots exist for RAM- two, I think. Is there a way to change and add 8GB DIMM x 2 and make it work? Thanks very much for any help/insight.
