    G-Mail links do not work

I am trying to get links within a GMail message to work. They don't including those within the GMail settings tab itself. (i.e.-Other Google Account settings).

The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium fully updated and the browser is I.E.9. The Anti-virus is AVG Free12 (uninstalled Norton as I thought that may be the problem). The scan was clean as was Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware.

The G-mail itself works and I get all e-mails but when clicking on a link either within the e=mail or on on the side advertising something else, it goes to a new page but never populates it.

I've been working 2 days on this and have Goggled a multiple of sites but no solution works.

    Any ideas??

What happens when you right click on the link and select either of the first two Open Link options?

Might look in the windows "Set Programs Default" and make sure IE is set as the default browser.
