Bios & password troubles.
I bought a laptop from the thrift store with no power supply so I bought one. It will not boot to the operating system because it is asking for some kind of bios password. Is there any software program that can fix this problem? I need something that will remove passwords I guess is the bottom line. Also I opened it & it has a hard drive already installed.

Shop time, I hate to say, is about the only way to take care of that.

No, the laptops BIOS are such that shop is the only place it can be taken care of. Sorry, but I had to do that too.

So they will do what in the "Shop" ?

No, they have the codes to get into the BIOS or can get them.
Removing the BIOS battery just does not work.
