Guessing the D drive is a cd/dvd type drive... If so, run the "fix it" app here:

I'd start with a hard drive diag first. You can download it from the hard drive manufacturer's site or you can get UBCD.

Make sure to burn the .iso as an IMAGE.

Ok i dont understand what this is supposed to do, my hdd is working there is no problems with it....let me make clear what my problem is.

I had Vista, everything worked fine...
I upgraded to WIN7, i installed a clean copy of WIN7 Ultimate edition 64bit. repartitioned the c drive, but i didnt repartition d drive cus i had files i wanted to keep in that hard drive.
Since unpgrading, when i start up, or after the computer is woken up from sleep mode, my D drive appears for a period of time, but then disappears.

How do i stop this from happening?

I always run a drive diag before tackling software errors. It has saved me a lot of troubleshooting time.

Are there any error messages in event viewer?
