Strange Loop at login
When winxp was started and login reached, system does a strange loop like never before, but only if i leave the system alone, if i dont login. i had two loops one after the other before i stopped it, did a normal login.
btw: i recognized a clock-shift from time to time. will replace the battery. maybe last time replaced it with an old one. Thanks a lot

Can't say that I understood anything you said
You turn on your computer -> then what happens?
It gets to the login screen -> what happens then?

I am sitting in front of the pc, dont move, dont do anything with pc. just wait and after a few seconds pc shuts down and restarts(i call the a loop). happend twice. but now the problem seems gone. maybe a static problem. will clean videocard-contacts. maybe because the box to handle two computers(one mouse/keyboard-two pcs) is unstable sitting on my desk.

Is your pc randomly rebooting itself? You can go to
Control Panel->System icon->Advance tab->Startup & Recovery Settings button. UNcheck/disable the "auto reboot" option. Instead of rebooting you'll probably get a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) which can be searched on for a solution.
You can go to http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 to search on for example: STOP 0x00000050

Thanks did yet do when you advised but:
when i changed HDD-from ide to sata(i have two systems winxp) the sam problem occured. pc looped twice until it stopped. this happended minutes after i left pc started tv.
i suspect its unstable electricity or psu. i lot of device are running in the room.
could also be the cables of pc2 which i used temporarily on pc3 through a switch-box. could be static electricity when moving my legs.
both pcs are fully open on a rack on left side infront of my desk.
