    Win 7 - not downloading

Weird thing started the other day, my main system quit downloading anything. I have check all security setting and ran virus and malware and spyware scans, all clean and even went as far a system restore to a few days before this **** started.

What happens is I can click on a program to install or download pictures (webshots) and the computer acts like its downloading but really doesn't. I created a folder to download a couple test programs and set it to download to those folders and nothing goes in them. Search the computer for the files and they just aren't to be found on the computer.

    Any suggestions ????

    Thanks

There a few nasties that will cause that and are not picked up by malware and antivirus programs.

Best bet, follow the instruction here at our sister site.

Have another computer, or know someone who can download those programs then place them on a thumbdrive/ burn to cd for you?

Maybe you can talk a librarian into allowing you to do that. Possibly you have a senior center that will allow you to do that.
Just ideas that I have been able to use.
