Thumbs up Windows XP Install on HP Mini 210 - 2000 Series & HP Laptop DM4 1219TX

    Hi Guys,

Just to let everyone know, it took me some time and i have moved all my netbooks & desktop to Win7 home premium, & laptop to Win7 prof.

Thanks Steve and Rocketmech for those excellent links....

But i was still curious on how to get windows XP installed on these newer systems .
Reasons : legacy apps and stuff that don't have updates for Win7

Its possible and i have finally succeeded.

But to make things simpler, the only tool that gets you there is the following:

    http://wintoflash.com/home/en/

I have tried every available options listed below:

PEtoUSB - again same BSOD error observed
    HPUSBDiskStoragetool - as above

You need to integrate the followingdrivers sets:

    1. Motherboard chipset drivers.
    2. SATA drivers.
    3. Use Nlite to integrate them and then use WINFLASH.

For me it didn't work with Just SATA, i needed both chipset and SATA.

Mind you, using Nlite to make an iso and then making USB disk bootable/uploading this iso to your USB- did not work for me. Same BSOD screen comes up.

    only and only WINTOFLASH works.

There is also short video on Youtube to help you with WINTOFLASH:

Hope it helps everyone spare loads of time in R & D.

I have batted 100% using compatability mode to install older apps in Win 7. One was written for 98/2k and runs right nicely. Dream Weaver 4.0 it was.
