    Hard Drive Crashed

    Hi every one
My hard drive has crashed with all my holiday photo's on. The only way I can get the computer up and running again is to do a system format with the XP Pro disc, but by doing this I will loose all my photo's, it's only the photo's I want. So is there any one out there that can give my some advice on how to retrieve my photo's, like with software or any thing.

    Thank's for your time

Did your hard drive crash or did the pc crash?

You could purchase a new drive and install Windows on that... And then slave the old drive to see if you can access it.

    Hi Steve
I think it is a boot sector problem. Steve if I put this drive in an other computer do you think it would be possible to retrieve my photo's. The only thing is the operating system has crashed

You could try putting the drive in another system. You could also boot off a live Linux disc like Ubuntu and see if you can copy the files over to another drive.
