My processor preference is Core 2 Duo

Hello Skyner. Since you live and work on India, it's hard to make any recommendations. After all, available models differ by country and brand availability is unknown. Building yourself is even harder.

One thing that is for certain is that you will require a video card upgrade in your system. Be sure that the system that you buy is HD-ready. You should get a monitor that has a native resolution of at least 1920x1200 pixels - usually at least 24 inches. Other than that, a standard model off of the shelf should do fine. Current standard PCs are far more powerful than the average user requires and should be fine for your needs.

Oh - try to get 64-bit Windows and at least 4GB of RAM.
