Is "Windows XP Mode" in Windows 7 suitable for games?
I am considering buying Windows 7 and need to decide between the "Professional" and "Home Premium" editions. The only additional feature in Pro feature listed in Microsoft's comparison table that interests me is Windows XP Mode. I understand this is designed for "productivity software", but is it needed to run games? For example, I have the following games:- Starcraft
- Warcraft 3
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
- Colin McRae Rally 2.0
- Colin McRae Rally 2005
Will these run directly under Windows 7 or will I need XP Mode? Is there a website listing such things so I can search for all the software I currently use?

I'm pretty sure that those games work fine in Windows 7. Similar games work great for me in Win7 x64.
XP Mode is pretty doggy for gaming. I have a Wolfdale E8400 Core 2 Duo with 8GB RAM and regular 32-bit desktop applications run like cr*p in XP mode. I can't even imagine how bad gaming would be.
