    Post Password

I am the only one who uses my PC. Therefore, I don't need passwords or anything else when I restart. I used to just see the Welcome Screen, and nothing else. Now I've somehow managed to complicate things after utilizing Autoruns. I would really appreciate it if someone could show me how to get back to the simplest possible restart. Also, at the same time, I would like to ensure I have administrative privileges. Recently, I have been denied access to a couple of applications for that reason.

    Thanks for your help.

You should really reset defaults with Autoruns first.

If you want to get into Windows without logging in, go to Start > Run > type in control userpasswords2 and click Ok. Select your account and then de-select "Users must enter...". You will be prompted for your password.

Now, if you are *not* using a password, you really should. Many applications and scheduled apps will not work right unless you have a password.
