Question about editing software for pdf files.

I was curious to know if there was any software that could be used to edit pdf files such as acrobat reader? I never heard of or seen any and I was wondering if such a program exist? Editing such as altering in any kind of way what's in or on a pdf file?

There are some out there, but I don't know about freebies. Readers are free, but editors usually aren't.

If you have a word doc you want to convert to pdf, there are some free tools.

What would be the very best?

Could you tell me what would be the best software to use that does it all? I'm new to this so I am asking you for personal oppinion since you are more experienced.

If you don't want to pay for the full Acrobat, you can check out one of these:

    http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/
    http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_...ls/pdfx_viewer

I've used both of their readers, but I haven't kicked the tires on their editors.

At PDFill you can get a whole host of PDF tools for free along with a trial version of the editor which can be bought for a measly $20. This is an easy way to start editing PDF files.

You may also find PDF Unlocker useful if you are trying to edit existing files.

Just drag and drop the locked file onto the PDF Unlocker icon and it creates an unlocked copy.
