    email spoofers

i got one of those email spoofs from bank of america but always wondered about something..

when someone spoofs you and tries to get you to reply back to the email, how does that even help them if email spoofing only aids them with outgoing and not incoming emails?

doesnt make any sense to me

Most links they use in the emails are redirected to other sites which you wouldn't notice unless you put your mouse cursor on the link and look at the full address that shows up.

yeah i know they can phish by using a false site and a java script to cover the address bar but its funny because there was no link, they said to just respond to the email.. so im wondering how does that actually work?
