    cannot connect to network drive

yesterday i was out of the office but was told fedex updated software on the fedex pc... anyway, while doing so, some computers got knocked off the network. i managed to get all except one back on...

any ideas what it can be?

    i reset the switch
    i reset the modem/router
i updated the ip address on the pc
i reset the network config on the pc
    i reset the pc

but it keeps saying unplugged or it tries to connect to an 'unknown network'

Wired or wireless? Operating system? Details, please.

Make sure the network name is correct in Computer Properties.

turns out that after running out of ideas...

    the cat6 cable was dead

i tried connecting the laptop to other ports using different cables and had no problem. i also connected a different laptop to that existing cat6 line and couldnt access it either
