    Post Windows ME

I have a dual boot system (XP - ME).

When I restart ME it just hangs.

    Just a flashing cursor.

I have to push the button on my tower to manually restart.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Does safe boot in ME work? It sounds like a drive issue for the video card.

    Thanks for the reply Sterling_Aug

I just did a safe boot into ME, but my mouse did not function.

    What's up with that?

    Thanks

Did ME work OK for a long time and then Boom?

Which type mouse are you using? USB or PS2...If USB, try a PS2.

ME "system restore" is a joke, is no where near as usable as the one in XP

even the one in XP is not quite usable, but compared to ME, it at least works.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm not even sure what I did, but ME seems to shut down now O.K.

    Thanks BB.
