I need Help building another computer

so ive been out of the computer scene for awhile. Im still on my p4 nortwood 1.8 oc to 2.4 and im desperately need of an upgrade. Believe it or not my computer is already pushing 6yeras old!!!! haah

so im looking to build a new computer, i love playing games like counter strike source, call of duty 4, and other high end games that require alot of rendering and computing power. I dont really have a limit of how much i want to spend, just looking to build up another Mid Tower. I want to go quad core but i need help choosing a mobo that enables me to use the latest and fastest memmory, and also enable me to OC my processor later, and stay reliable. Anyone suggestions would help. Also choosing a Power supply and video card would be nice. thanks.

btw i was looking at the costco's ibuypower tower, that features a quadcore 2.4ghz and comes with liek 3 gigs of memmory, 500gb hd, and a 1gb geforce 8800gt video card, for around 1200 bux. Looking to build a system similar to that one.

Why not just buy a good Dell desktop?

They make sure all the parts work together, they install the OS, and the warranty coverage is good if you are not a computer repair technician.
