OKAY anyway, my brother bought this terrible emachines POS.

He sent it to me telling me it didnt work and told me to reinstall the OS.

Did that everyhting fine..


then when windows started the light on my usb mouse went off. i have tried one of those ps2 usb connector things still nothing.. the light on the mouse turns on every time the computer is just turning on at bios etc. I have NO idea why i am having this prob.

any ideas?

Check bios....Plug n Play OS set to ON? USB Ports ON? Try toggling them. Depending on what 'didn't work' when he sent it, you may need to <shiver> update the bios, or at least reset the bios via jumper/battery remove-replace.

yeah, i reset the bios by jumpers and toggled every usb configuration.

I got it to recognize after a while on the ps2 connector. Im doing windows updates and some chipset stuff currently. hopefully i'l be able to swith it to USB

Don't forget to enable legacy USB also.
