    New CPU! +mobo

Hi, i have read somewhere that i do not need to format my hdd if i installed a new motherboard (by booting with windows cd and choosing the repair option).

But what if i install a new CPU as well? will it be any different?

The cpu i'm about to get is Q6600 and motherboard is Gigabyte P35-DQ6.

    Thanks.
