Windows File Protection...but CD not SP2

I received a Windows File Protection alert saying that some of the original system files were wrong, and it asked me to insert the Windows Install CD to replace these incorrrect files witht the originals.

Problem is, when I insert our original CD, it said it wasn't there right SP2 cd. Well, I could have told them that since Windows Home only had SP1 when we purchased it.

So how do I get around this error?

    Thanks in advance

Make a slipstreamed install disk with SP2 on it. Update the files from that.

I'm not sure that slipstreaming will help. Windows may be looking for specific files that were copied to the hard drive when the SP2 upgrade was performed.

Once you create the slipstreamed CD, copy the i386 folder from it to the hard drive and try this trick:
