    Question Cable Modem Registry Settings

What is the value IPMTU ? I know how to figure my mtu

    C:\ ping -f -l 1452 www.charter.net

of course the isp add and ping values change.

Now, I'm getting really terribly low transfer rates like 25 or so KB/sec. I usually get from 37 to 45 or so.

Now my IPMTU value is "0" Should I experiment with this value?

And what is the difference between the deeefault mss and the max mss? Which one should be the MTU - 40?

    Really bad night here

    thanks

    Mike
