Dell Wireless Photo All-In-One Printer 966

Does anybody know who makes this printer for Dell?

For that matter, does anybody have an overwhelming recommendation for any of the key manufacturer's products for a high-quality all-in-one printer? (Canon/HP/Brother/Epson/Xerox/Lexmark ... ?)

    Thanks.

I can't help with ur first question. However, and HP All-In-One printer is a good choice. Or an epson.

I have had good luck with HP. I currently use the HP OfficeJet 6210. It does very well for its price and features.

If you have the printer, you can look up the FCC ID Number
to see who really made it .. but it is most likely a rebadged Lexmark

You can enter the FCC ID Code here:

As to HP they are very good .. I just bought a HP7410 All In One unit
for $222 with tax after rebates ... I am not certain but I think HP has
discontinued this model in favor of the L7680 which sells for $399
The new unit only has 1 Paper Tray and uses 4 seperate Ink Tanks
as opposed to a TriColor Cartridge .. otherwise they have very similar
    specs

I do not have the unit - wanted to find out more about it, particularly the manufacturer, before entertaining the purchase.

I was particularly interested in the Canon, because Canon has particularly impressed me - and I've actually had some negative HP experiences, although everybody here seems quite thrilled w/ HP. Also, the Canon all-in-one I'm interested in does not have WIFI support, which appealed to me for the Dell.

I haven't otherwise yet done much research on this.

Incidentally, I was looking at Inkjet printers, not laser printers. A low-use home-office machine that also prints and scans photo-quality.

The HP7410 and it's new replacement the L7680
are Ink Jet Models ... the new L7680 sells for $400
You can get good deals on the HP7410 if you shop
around as it & it's cousin the HP6410 are being
discontinued (The HP6410 does not have WIFi
built in, but the HP7410 does)

I also recommend HP. If you don't want to spend that much $$, you can go with a slightly lesser HP printer. I bought the PSC2355 a while back and I've been very happy with it so far. That model doesn't have fax, but we don't have a home phone line so it didn't matter.

Dell printers are pretty good--a lot of companies have gone with them since they're already big Dell PC and laptop shops--but it really comes down to your own preference.

Thought I'd also sway you away from any Lexmark inkjet printers. The new one we got is horrible, and the print offs, even text, looks lousy. Plus, they don't last very long, unless you get a laser, which you don't seem to have any intention of getting.
