    Artic Silver

I was wanting to know if it is better to use Artic Silver 5 on my cpu or stay with the pad that comes on it. Its a core 2 duo E6400. I have used the AS 5 on older processors but wasn't sure about the newer ones.

AS5 is still better than the stock pads I've seen. Zalman also makes a good thermal paste now.

The best I have used so far is "Dynex" (Silver Thermal Compound) from Best Buy

Ok thanks for the info. I will use the Artic Silver 5 I have. I'm putting together 2 systems hope they turn out as well as I think they will.
