    need help on register name under system properties

    Hello, I just installed win xp pro in my pc, & i have noticed that I typein the wrong letter in register name, its under general tab of system properties, where do I go to change it & correct it? thx in advance.

    You'll have to search the registry for the bad name. When found edit and replace it.

    Honestly, it doesn't really matter if you typed it in wrong. It only shows for you. It is not transmitted to Microsoft.

    so, this wont affect even if I go to windows update & update to the latest? thx

    In regedit its under

    HKLM>software>microsoft>windows NT>current version

    Right click it and modify it
    to many pc's to list
