    Broadband speed

I seem to be having an issue with my Linksys Befsr41 slowing down my broadband connection. Wanted to see if anybody has any suggestions on possible causes and fixes.

    Setup
Broadband 10M down 1Meg up runs to Linksys rtr, one line to VoIP box and one line to PC. In this setup using bandwidthplace.com speed test I average about 4.5M down and peaked one time at 5.8M down.
I changed the setup to Broadband to pc and averaged about 6M and peaked at 9.1M.
I currently have broadband to VoIP to pc, no rtr and am getting speeds from 4 - 6 on avg with a peak of 8.8M.
The rtr is factory settings with the exception of a couple port forwarding settings. Any ideas on what could be causing this latency with the rtr in place. I haven't ran any updates on the rtr.

    Thanks guys.
