    That Power Supply isn't SLI certified either. Perhaps I should upgrade it whenever I do my next upgrade (few months)?

    yeah it should be fine, SLi isnt really worth it tho its better to get 1 strong card instead because most games dont use more then one grathics card core so it only it only improves fps in resolutions that are 1600x1200 and over

    btw: Newegg has a 30 day money back policy if u wanna change it but its probably not worth changeing it for only 80 watts more and that thermaltake power supply u picked has a rebate knocking it down to $60 which is pretty sweet for 500 watts

    I forgot that I won't ever wanna go SLI. I am one for just getting 1 strong card also. Makes things easier :]

    The rebate is pretty sweet. $60 for 500 watts by one of the best companys around isn't bad. I was just being nervous I guess.

    All the parts just got here a few hours ago. The case should be coming tommorow.

    If those mobos that were recommended have two x16 pci-e slots, does that automatically mean it is SLI compatible or is there an additional requirement (other than the obvious that it says "SLI certified" or whatever)? Thanks.

    I'm in a similar boat as you runfrom and this thread has answered a lot of my own questions for choices.

    I know SLI cards need a chip on the motherboard to be able to do sli, i think crossfire video cards dont but im not 100% sure

    also you can run any single video card on any sli or crossfire certified motherboard as long as it has a PCI-E x16 slot

    Ex: u can run a single radeon on a sli board or a single geforce on a crossfire board

    you just cant have 2 of em running on it but its not worth the extra cost of two video cards anyways
