    Has anyone got this setup or configured for their home network? Not exactly sure which category this thread would belong. I believe Sony has a similar device.

    My understanding is that it allows you to 'wirelessly' watch TV anywhere in your home. I've only had someone explain this to me but haven't spoken to anyone about it in "real time". Any insight?

    Not exactly true, slingbox broadcasts your cable TV signal over the Internet. So if you have a laptop with a wireless connection yes, you can wirelessly watch TV. Slingbox is a standalone product. If you already have a TV Tuner card in a computer checkout "Orb" it is free and does the same thing. I use Orb myself.
