Have yu downloaded all patches for the game? Seems some people have that very same problem... Heck i think the game even crashed for me a couple of times... The coding and bugs in this game are well known...
If you do a reinstall.. make sure you get ALL the stuff out of the registry.. EA is noted for having issues with thier games of this sort...
Make sure your susytem memory is set up a notch under Control Panel>System>Properties>Advanced. Look at the paging file size to start.
You have a killer system so i would think it would run good... I know they have come out with at least three patches or moer for the game.. Also, visit the Battlefield forum site and se if others have same issues and how they solved it...
ATI video cards have to be set right i know.. and some drivers may not work well with it.. The forum might have others who have your card... and ask what they use for catalyste drivers... LOL

Yup downloaded all paches for it, ive repatched and reinstalled the whole game to...
it runs good for like 2 mins then does the freezing and unfreezing. lol
Would it be possible the Videocard not working proberly? but if it wasnt working right, wouldnt it show in other places lie the desktop and surfing the net?

Most likely not. You are likely to run into problems with hardware when you stress your components...i.e. run them through a demanding game like BF2. Does anything happen when you run other demanding games?

ill install fear and see what happens

Upon closer observation.., my intuition is teling me it might be the video card itself...
What maker is it?? Again, what drivrs are you using for hat card.. I know Nvidia alwys updates its drivers for the more recent cards and thier demands... Thats a very high end video card...
Other concerns would be some sort of worm or virus possibly... Don't want to get ya all stamied over this, but also, if some porgram is runing in the background.., there could be HW conflicts... I've had that happen before when playing online games before. Even not online would do it...
BF2 is a very demanding game. I have played it alot with my meager video card by todays standards, and all i get for issues is just bad FPS. Upon occasion, the game will studder for me also, but hardly ever freeze up...

or driver conflicts, can you tell us if that card is sharing an IRQ with another device - BF2, Counter Strike all drive me nuts because 1 ATI or nVidia driver works on one machine, then on some others I have to use a newer, or older version.
And in some cases it's been a bad sound card or wireless mouse driver causing a conflict.
Even overheating can be a problem for a video card with a fan heatsink. See how hot your card, RAM, PSU, case are getting after you run the machine awhile.
Even though you have what you need, have you tried dumbing down your options in the game just to see if it helps?
Last time I cured that kind of problem replaced all, no solution, then found out the CPU I had installed - even though it ran all programs and games but Counter Strike just fine for months, wasn't on the mobo "compatible" list for the mobo. Replaced it and no problems since.

Boy .. now yu have ME wondering some , when you mentioned the mouse driver for wireless.. My intuition is that it may be some of my troubles when operating certain things.. does not happen at all very often for anything, but rarely it does... good point.
You also make a good case point about cooling. I have like any good user been monitoring and concerned with that, although its hardly ever an issue for me( great case and good fan setup ), but on hot days like we just had, YES.., heat is an enemy. It will freeze things up... as will bad OC'ing, HW confliects, bad video card drivers, and the lot. This is why i ponted to looking at who has that card and just what drivers for it work the best.... esp. playing that game.
This guy seems ot have a great system. Looks like it. Ram could also be suspect. Another missed piece of conflict area. Bad timings or settings in bios could do it, like not matching your cas latency to the bus usage.

lol my grammer was bad in that sentance lol
EA told me send them my DXDiag file. to help out on the problem.. the guy say it was my "nvidia' Driver for my Vcard. and i dont have a nvidia GPU, I got a kick out of that lol

Ea just has some real clumps over there. I never have gotten much of any good support from those guys ever. If you do get an answer, its most always something you could do without... useless.
I wish a company with such clout and supposed prestege would make a better effort at server the customers in that department. I suppose they think its not cost effective or something... sigh!
