    Halo 2 Vista screens

    http://worthplaying.com/article.php?...thread&order=0

Sorry, but im having a hard time containing my laughter here.

Over a year in the waiting for another direct port of a frankly terrible console game. On the basis of these screens it would seem (As with Halo PC) that there are no real changes going on (graphical or otherwise) and its just a straight port - which makes one wonder why the Vista "requirement" and why the massive wait.

Still, the original PC version of Halo was a POS but still sold millions - cant blame MS for following the same strategy

I think Halo PC looks better... That just sucks. not to mention it's only available for Vista.

Thats kinda funny alright... geeze if your going to upgrade a new impressive looking OS as Vista is geared up to be.., then why not take the time and remake this game so it meets todays gaming expectations as well...

Since you mentioned Halo.. last night for some reason I decided to try and play the first one all over again ( like i need to ), just for fun. I do enjoy playing the first one as nothing more than a good FPS romp... That does indeed look very bad. Either that or the pic. link is bad...

And i was one of those who griped about ot having the second one for PC

    Phooey on that!...

U yu know what? I am replaying Halo the original again.... Why? Just because i think its a vry fun FPS game with a nice storyline and decent graphics... MS puts out quality games.... To be truthful, i think if you liked the first one..., then your observations about Vista optimizations should make it better than first looked at. After all, i just read that Vista overall, will be a bit faster and run better, which only helps graphical apps, even more....
My only beef is that MS should at least make the second game available for both platforms.. Seems a bit cheesy that they use this as some sort of marketing ploy.. to run out and buy Vista...
