I can't name too many people that will be buying a dvd player for that much that won't play store bought dvd's. That's ****. What are they trying so hard for anyways? Someone will crack it.
I don't think that these companies realize how much they are pissing people off with this ****. Piracy isn't even that big of a problem anyways because if you want dvd quality you either buy it or wait a long time for the dvd ripp to download which most broadband providers end up complaining if you constantly download like 8 gigs a month over your connection and that's about 2 movies a month.
It'll be funny to see all this security go down in flames in a matter of months after it goes mainstream.
Why doesn't HD-DVD have these problems?
