Lite On External DVD+RW Drive help wanted.

I am backing up my old dvds and I'm using the above burner to do it with. The burner will play the movies but my dvd player wont. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem. I am using XP Home edition and Imation DVD_Rs. Is there a better DVD-R? If anyone have any knowledge about anything useful could you please post it here?

If you use +R's change the bitsetting to DVD-Rom for best compatibility .

If your using DVDShrink , you can set it to change the bitsetting for +R's when using Nero .
