Format HDD
Can I format a HDD using an external usb enclosure using windows format when i right click on the drive? I want to use the hdd to install xp pro on a dell dimension 2300.
OR
Do i have to create a bootable floppy & use fdisk?
If I format it as NTSC using USB, will I need the bootable floppy when I'm ready to install xp, or do i just boot from cd & start install?
Thank U for your time & patience with me

Stark Raving MOD
you don't have to format before you install winxp. however you can use disk management to format a drive. start-run-diskmgmt.msc
NTSC is for television. you mean NTFS. just boot from the winxp cd and run the setup. you will come to a section about partitioning and formatting.
