here we go again... Steam updates and now Favorites gone

Whats up with Steam and the case of every time it updates for me.. I go into the menu and my favorites are gone..? This would not be as mcuh hassle as last night I go into play the game..wait for the update and zippo.., no favorites and history.

Spent a deal of time tracking down my favorite servers... and realize i am partly to blame by not writing down the IP address for future ref.

Tonight after putting my two i play most back in there.., they are once again missing. Nothing.

This gets real tiring ..trying to keep up with how this server works and if it will display things...

Could it be that i have some cookie deletion checked in some program i have running in the background?? Hard to tell..

Off I go to do it all over again... (sigh! )

It has never been fixed..and for the life of me...seeing as how Valve and Steam seem to be so up on thier updates that this issue has yet to be resolved. This started and has been a issue for most upon the latest update.
I have contacted them like four times already and I have nver been contacted back from them..ever ??? There is even a site that makes a program that lets you connect up and save these servers from an outside source.. Its called HLSW ...

What i do now is manually enter the IP address in the favorites and that works fine.

For future ref. Tony... write down the IP of those servers you want. At least that way your not like me before...waiting for the refresh and searching for quite a while just to connect up. That is a big P. I. T. A. LOL

    Just FYI:

You can still get to your favorites but you need to access them from the Steam icon in your taskbar. Just right click it and select favorites and they will all still be there.
