Problem with Win2000 Prof for Dell
I have got a windows 2000 profesional cd for my dell GX150.
I want to put this operating system onto a different machine (Not a Dell) but when i load it up in startup, i get into setup, type in the serial number (which it accepts) and it says "ONLY LICENSED FOR USE ON DELL MACHINES!!" Is there any way round this? As i dont want to buy i new disk off ebay, because they sell for loads, and even the copied disks that they sell are around £10.
Thanks

To answer your question, NO there is no way around a Dell OEM OS CD. It is hard coded to read the Dell BIOS.
