Tyan K8WE (S2895) Which memory?
I have the subject board and would like any opinions as to which ram I should use. I looked at the recommended list from the site but found the modules over prices for the stats so I did a little shopping of my own and came up with ULT31428 Ultra which is basically ECC Registered Dual Channel 1024MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz Memory (2 x 512MB) for 148.99 and I would be getting 2 of these orders for a grand total of 2gb of ram. Question is: Is "Ultra" ram any good a far as stability, quality, speed? I know there are faster out there but I am not looking to spend a whole bunch more money lol. Any help here would be appreciated.

Mod w/ an attitude
Unless the RAM is on the manufacturers' compatibility list, then you are taking a 50-50 gamble that the system will NOT BOOT with the RAM installed.
Stick with what you know works.

Yeah thats what I figured... Going to go with some corsair 1Gb sticks for $166 which are on the compatibility list as well so I at least have a small guarantee.
Thanks: Rich
