I am working on a Gateway BRO 300S, WXP SP2, that has an odd problem I have not seen before. When I go into My Computer, it shows the "D" Drive as a CD-ROM instead of a CD-RW. If I click properties, it will sometimes show the contents of a CD and sometimes not. Other times, My Computer just stops responding.

In Safe mode, this does not happen. Everything is normal. I have tried two different, known working CD/RW drives and that does not help.

Any ideas???
