Bad news for OpenGL (I know PS3 uses a form of it, but still)?

I still think the uptake of OGL will benefit the development of the PS3 greatly. One of my lecturers went off on a tangent the other day about the PS2 - it appeared that at an architectural level the PS2 was such a unique and different creation that most programmers never really knew how to take full advantage of the hardware. With the adoption of an industry standard cross platform API such as OGL, programmers should hopefully be able to fully utilise the hardware in the PS3
