    CHat Clients

    What is the most popular and widely used one. I always thought it was : -


    MSN
    Yahoo
    AOL

    But a guy i know says that it is more :-

    AOL
    YAHOO
    MSN

    Which is strange because all my freidns only have msn....and never even used the others....

    I use the following:

    Yahoo
    GAIM (does both Yahoo & AIM)

    Nothing else.

    I used to use ICQ and AOL about 5 years ago, but I am no longer registered. I wouldn't even know what to use for the passwords.

    I should update my sysopt.com profile to reflect that.

    I use Trillian for my client. It'll combine all the other chat clients...
    I use it with AOL...and used to use if for Yahoo before I closed my account with them...

    Havent used my Yahoo account in years either, AIM once in a while.

    Also use Kopete from my Xandros rig and GAIM on the ubuntu boxes occasionally, not really very often though as I feel it ties you to the computer a little to much.

    My wife uses Yahoo and AIM all the time, I know no one that uses MSN. I did the little trick that lets you uninstall MSN from XP some time ago.

    Like most software now a days....they have a free "lite" version and a Pro "paid" version.

    Of course...you must already have an account with AOL, Yahoo...etc., but...I like it better, period.

    AIM flat out bites. Pop up Windows, Weather Bug, etc....

    Everyone from my youth group has AIM and won't get anything else coz they're too lazy LOL. I personally despise AIM coz it's so boring and you have to pay if you want better smileys and stuff, otherwise AIM looks so Win95'ish.
