that is old news already. SP2 has been out for months. you can always upgrade to sp2.

IMO if everything works just fine, I wouldn't upgrade to SP2--but that's up to you(I for one refuse to use it)

The security updates in SP2 are IMO worth the upgrade for someone that doesn't know\care too much about system security.

Actually.i used to think that SP1 was enough and i guess you might be OK... but waht yu do not know is that there is alot more inside of SP2 that not only helps protect your computer..but also some present to date optimizations built in.

If you use one of the known virus programs ... esp. like the one I have from Trend Micro.. ( PC Cillin 2005 Total Internet Security package ) it monitors alongside MS and SP2 and works in tandem to fully protect you. very nice seup. You never misss any of the very latest in known virus threads...and i mean latest ( like today ).

So far I have not had any problems with it...that is they help to rmind you of how to set it up properly and here is no porblem in computer operation or surfing the net or even downloading....

What you should know..as i think alot of people ( even me before ) is that i thought it might cause porblems with how I set up my own computer and all, and really there is no porblem. Absolutely nothing interferes with it or vice versa. if you do not want MS to intrude or some such, then it has a setting for not to allow updates and also ..allows you to either get them automatic or at thier site.

For me.. this is the most protected ai have ever felt.... I have every base covered....

Remember also that you need to have a good opup control porgram and or spyware remover for your ease of mind, and a good MS approved virus program. .

Yes, upgrade to SP2 but backup your critical data and create an image beforehand.

Agreed...After all I did want SP1 and some 50+ Q & KB hotfixes and uninstalls. That's why I have this computer. How many fixes will SP2 produce
