    Thanks I'll check it out

I was really hoping to be able to do it without a third party.

Also a related question for email.

Is there a reason spell check don't work?
This is in an XP machine and the options have it turned on?

    Thanks

You need Office installed to get the spellchecker in Outlook Express.

You sure BP? Outlook Express, 5.5 or later...should have spell check natively.

In Outlook...if you use Word as your email editor, it'll automatically spell check as you type (just as if you typing an actual word document)...

Outlook Express, click on Tools, Options, Spelling Tab.

Outlook AND Outlook Express will check ALL POP accounts if you check them accordingly.

    Outlook 2003:
Tools, Options, Mail Setup Tab, Send/Receive Button. You should be able to figure it from there. For Ease of use, use the Field Chooser, and select mail accounts to see which account the mail is mailed to.

However, whatever you choose as your default account, it will automatcially SEND a new email from that account unless you manually choose a different account when creating a new message. By default, Outlook and Outlook Express...when replying to a message it will send from the account it was originally sent to.

    Outlook Express 6:
Tools, Accounts, Click on the mail account and go to Properties. Check "Include this account when receiving or sync'ing email."

Same thing....right click on any of the column headers, click on Colums, and check the "accounts" box. Then...you can resize or move it to your liking.

OE or Outlook will do exactly what you want out of the box....

Good luck...(Sorry for the long winded response...

WOW....Bill...my apologies. I actually RD's into an XP Workstation we have here, without Office installed. Spelling is NOT a tab in OE 6. I guess I took for granted 98% of the boxes you work on in a corporate atmostphere with Office already on 'em....
    Well...you get the point.

    Bill...I stand corrected.

I know the email accounts for POP will work though...I have several in Outlook and OE for home and work....

    We all make mistakes, dajogejr.

As a matter of fact, having MS Works installed enables spell checking in OE - as that article states. As you say, it seems that most every PC has it - and for good reason!

I know I have a rep for having a short fuse. I'm working on that. In a recent popularity vote here, I wasn't even a candidate! While I'm not here to be popular, it couldn't hurt to start loading a blank cartridge every other round, eh?

    Bill...I wouldn't change a thing....

Sometimes the laugh I get from your wit and dry/sarcastic humor gets me through the day...

I would be dissapointed if I DIDN'T get to read that once in a while....

Yep. And if you don't need all the features of Office, don't use a WP much and don't want to spend much money; any version of Word in Works Suite will do it.

Word in Works Suite 2000 can be had for about $20.00 and the newest version is only $99.00.
