    Love these freeware threads -

    TinySpell
    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/tinyspell.html
A slick little spellchecker that runs, no matter which application you are in. Very easy to use.

    3.5"master
    http://www.mirkes.de/en/freeware/flpmstr.php
It creates floppy images that you can keep on your flash drive instead of hauling a bunch of floppy boot disks around with you. (This site seems to open better in IE)

    MBRTool
    http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/mbrtool.htm
Every computer that goes through my shop has the MBR backed up.

    Filzip
    http://www.filzip.com/
A very agile zip tool. It even has its own email client. Great for opening Windows cab files. It also has an option to keep settings in an ini file, rather than the registry, so you can run it from a flash drive.

    Favorite freeware - Firefox

    Hmmmm... Fast Stone looks good.

    FreeSecurity

There's a load of great freeware (especially open-source) software, so it's really difficult to name one...Firefox, k3b, Kontact, and many more are just are great...
